Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and TwelveAI ("we", "us"), which operates Checked at getchecked.twelveai.app. By creating an account or using Checked you agree to them, to our Privacy Policy and to our Acceptable Use Policy. If you use Checked for a company, you confirm you may bind that company to these terms.

1. What Checked does

Checked tests software you point it at: it generates and runs API tests, scans websites, runs load tests and uses AI to explore apps and explain results. Results, reports and AI explanations are aids to your own judgement. They can be wrong or incomplete, and you remain responsible for the quality and security of your software.

2. Your account

You must give a working email address, keep your password secret and tell us at once if you think your account has been used without permission. You are responsible for everything done through your account and your workspaces, including by teammates you invite and by API keys you create.

3. What you may test

You may only test websites, APIs and systems that you own or that their owner has authorised you to test, within the limits of that authorisation. Load tests send heavy traffic on purpose; you must have the owner's permission and must warn anyone who could be affected, such as your hosting provider. Breaking this rule is a serious breach of these terms. The full rules are in the Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Your content and credentials

You keep all rights to the specs, test cases, credentials and other material you upload ("your content"). You give us permission to store and process it only to provide Checked to you, including sending relevant parts to our AI provider to generate tests and reports. We store credentials you give us for environments encrypted, and use them only to run the tests you ask for. Do not upload data you are not allowed to share, and use test or staging credentials where you can.

5. Plans, payment and usage

Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in US dollars through TwelveAI's payment service and renew automatically until cancelled. Extra credit is also bought in US dollars. You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and we do not refund partial months unless the law requires it. Each plan includes usage that refreshes per session and per month as described on the Plan and usage page. Extra credit you buy is non-refundable once used. We may change prices or plan limits with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

6. Availability

We work to keep Checked available and your data safe, including daily backups, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or remove features. A run can be interrupted, for example when we update the service; you can re-run it.

7. Suspension and ending

You can close your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or close an account, stop a running test, or block a target without notice if we reasonably believe these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy are being broken, if a third party reports harm, or if the law requires it. Sections that by their nature should survive ending (such as 8 and 9) survive.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Checked is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim relating to Checked is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Indemnity

You will compensate us for claims, losses and costs arising from your content or from tests you run against systems you were not authorised to test.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms; if a change is material we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law gives you other rights.
